Suicide Risk Screening & Assessment
Course
How we meet clients in moments of crisis can have a profound impact on the accuracy of the information we’re able to gather, as well as on our ability to maintain a therapeutic alliance with clients. Build skills in suicide risk screening and assessment to accurately assess client safety, maintain the therapeutic relationship, and assess next steps.
Simulated therapy session: This course includes a simulated therapy session with the instructor, Kimberly O’Brien, Jasmine (a teenage girl experiencing suicidal thoughts), and Jasmine’s father, Michael (clients played by actors).
